Science: Lower Primary
Lower Primary students have an instinctive curiosity about the world around them. This is the age of the "Why?" questions and intense obsessions with dinosaurs, space, animals, insects, rocks etc. Teaching science to Lower Primary is really just a matter of adding the questions "How? What if? and When?" to their repertoire.
Don't just limit your thinking to Questacon. The Australian National Botanic Gardens, Birragai, Blundells' Cottage, Calthorpes' House, Canberra Deep Space Communication Complex, Icon Water, CSIRO Discovery Centre, National Dinosaur Museum, and National Zoo and Aquarium all have fantastic programs for this age group.
Even though it is a bit arbitrary at this age I have divided the Lower Primary Science into
Biology
Chemistry
Physics
